Private Industry Council Receives Additional Pre-K Counts Slots
Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC) is a valued TracyCo client that makes a positive impact in our local community. PIC is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that operates employment, education, and training programs in southwestern Pennsylvania. PIC assists youth, adults, dislocated workers, and the economically disadvantaged in reaching their educational goals, supporting their family growth, and obtaining training and employment.
Recently PIC opened its new licensed child care center called PIC Kidz Zone which is open Monday through Friday, from 7am to 6pm. PIC Kidz Zone, located on 219 Donohoe Road in Greensburg, will serve twenty-eight (28) children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 year of age. PIC Kidz Zone was awarded sixteen (16) Pre-K Counts slots from OCDEL and is currently enrolling 3 and 4 year olds. Additionally, the center received six (6) slots to enroll infants and/or toddlers through a partnership with COTRAIC (Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center) through their Early Head Start Child Care Partnership funding through the Office of Head Start. Pre-K Counts and Early Head Start Child Care Partnership programs are no cost to families who qualify.PIC Kidz Zone also accepts private pay and child care subsidy.
